Meet Southern California’s hot youth sports team! The BLUE MAGIC Basketball youth sports program. All children play here. Coach Deon has over 30 years of coaching experience since 1989. It all started when Deon’s own coach walked out. He was playing for Valley Plaza Park and the championship game was coming in a week. The park had no replacement and said the team must fold. Deon stepped up to say, “I can coach us”. The desire to win helped him excel as a coach and player. He lost the championship game to a friend’s team. Once he turned 18 he said, “I want to coach”, and took his 1st team, in his 1st year coaching, to his 1st championship. Since then, Coach Deon has won many championships.

Coach Deon has a unique talent in bringing out the best in his players and a vision that is rarely seen. He has stopped coaching for the city and decided to start his own non-profit league to benefit the youth. Our program is designed to help children choose the gym in a safe environment. Children must maintain a passing report card to keep playing status for Blue Magic. He teaches the kids more than basketball. Did I mention he is a father of 6. Dealing with children, he has down to a science. Coach Deon continues to provide the children in his club with tools to help them through life.

His career started in North Hollywood at Valley Plaza Rec Center. Then followed by Tarzana Rec Center and North Hollywood Rec Center. He has spread his championships around to all 3 locations. Now he is taking his travel team and talents to your city. West Coast look out! Here comes  BLUE MAGIC BASKETBALL!
